Document 159 - Agreement between the Czech Republic and the Republic of Ghana on Air Transport

The document submits to the Parliament of the Czech Republic for ratification a new air transport agreement between the Czech Republic and Ghana. The Agreement regulates air carriers’ rights, airline operations, safety, tariffs, commercial activities of carriers, environmental protection and dispute settlement. The new agreement replaces the outdated 1961 agreement and brings the rules in line with EU law and current civil aviation standards. It is expected to facilitate air transport and trade cooperation between the two countries without impacting the state budget.
