Scope: pages 1–2.

The Health Committee’s resolution recommends that the Chamber of Deputies approve the government’s proposal to amend public health insurance premiums. The committee authorizes the rapporteur to make the necessary technical legislative amendments and entrusts him with presenting the committee’s opinion to the Chamber. The proposal thus supports an increase in government contributions to the public health insurance system and a postponement of automatic indexation in accordance with the main proposal.

Scope: Part One–Part Four; § 7a–§ 18; pages 1–4.

The document contains proposed amendments to increase the state payment for individuals whose health insurance is paid by the state. One proposal reduces the proposed assessment base from 18,362 CZK to 17,540 CZK. The second amendment expands the law to change the rules governing health insurance companies: it removes the 5 percent cap on their contributions to patient organizations and explicitly regulates their funding from public benefit activity funds.

The resolution of the Health Care Guarantee Committee sets forth the procedure for the Chamber of Deputies’ vote on the third reading of the bill to amend public health insurance premiums. The Committee recommends approving Amendment A, while it does not recommend Amendment B; no motion to reject the bill was filed. Rapporteur Jiří Mašek is authorized to present the Committee’s opinions and, if necessary, make the required technical legislative adjustments.
