MP Petr Hladík questions the Minister of the Environment regarding the competitive selection process in which Pavel Straka was appointed director of the Czech Environmental Inspectorate, and requests his resume, management plan, and the commission’s minutes. The minister refuses to provide the requested documents because, under the Civil Service Act and the Administrative Procedure Code, the selection process file is protected, and unauthorized persons do not have access to its contents. He notes, however, that the director’s professional resume, to the extent relevant to his public office, is published on the Inspectorate’s website.
