Document 320 - Amendment to the Constitutional Act – Constitution of the Czech Republic

The draft constitutional bill amends the Constitution to explicitly designate the Czech koruna as the currency of the Czech Republic. The amendment is intended to strengthen the constitutional protection of the national currency and make it more difficult to replace it with another currency without amending the Constitution. The bill primarily concerns the status of the Czech National Bank and the state’s monetary sovereignty.
